Role Requirements
This role as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer involves working within our packing facility. You will collaborate with other engineers to perform both reactive and pre-planned maintenance on various types of machinery, including grading machines and mechanical systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps, electrical cabinets and shaft drives.
Responsibilities
- Reactive and Planned Maintenance: Carry out both immediate and scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Machine Maintenance: Work on grading machines, pumps, shaft drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, three-phase motors, inverters, drives and automated machinery.
- Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance: Perform maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Fault Finding and Improvements: Identify faults, improve machine performance and enhance reliability.
- Reporting: Provide updates and reports to the engineering manager and site services manager.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Qualifications: While any of the following qualifications are beneficial, you must have at least a basic qualification in engineering: Electrical apprenticeship, NVQ, BTEC Levels 1, 2 or 3 or similar qualifications.
- Background: Experience in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or manufacturing is ideal.
- Experience: Fundamental knowledge and experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance are required. Training will be provided as needed.
